Job Summary We are seeking a Supervisor, Animal Care Services to join our Animal Care Team for ourSafety Assessmentsite located inShrewsbury, MA.

The Supervisor, Animal Care Services oversees the care of laboratory animals, facilities, and animal environments. Assist in monitoring the animal areas for adherence to regulatory agencies (i.e. AALAC, USDA, FDA) requirements and adherence to industry standards for animal care and welfare.

Job Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in science or related discipline. Experience: 3 years related experience in animal husbandry and welfare. 1-2 years direct experience with relevant species preferred. 1 year supervisory experience preferred. Experience working in a GLP regulated environment preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Certification/Licensure: AALAS certification at the LATG level strongly preferred (to be achieved within one year if certification has not been achieved). Other: Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP's). Familiar with federal regulations and guidelines relating to the care of laboratory animals including facility inspection, procurement, and distribution of laboratory animals. Knowledge of animal care and welfare standards as defined by AAALAC, USDA, etc. Computer literate.
