Director, Program Lead - Europe

IQVIA’s Health Research Ecosystem (HRE) program has a developing portfolio of solutions to optimize clinical trials through the use of technology and data. The Director, HRE Europe Lead will be responsible for strategy development and execution in Europe. This role will work closely with global HRE Program Lead and will have regular interaction with the EMEA RBU Heads of Strategic Sites & Payer-Provider Technology.

Key Activities & Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is to own strategy, site engagement, technology deployment, RBU liasing, plus operationalization and meeting client commitments in Europe.  The European engagement and deployment teams will report into this role. Key activities of the role include:
•    Accountability for HRE Europe roadmap: The individual will develop and execute against the strategy to establish site relationships and agreements related to HRE solutions across Europe and will oversee technology deployment. They will be accountable for updating HRE Leadership and Steering Committee on progress in Europe. This will include oversight on hospital engagement, forming partnerships and collaboration with teams across the business to ensure priority use cases are enabled.
•    Product team business owner, Europe: This individual will be the EU business conduit for the HRE product team, accountable for transmitting HRE’s requirements to the team across the portfolio of solutions.
•    Support HRE strategy & operationalization globally: The individual in this role will support the Program Lead in the development of the global strategy. They will also lead on operationalization through the development of a commercial and financial model, GTM strategy, working processes, among other activities.
•    Manage collaboration with teams across the business: HRE is an enabler to multiple teams and business cases, and this requires alignment with and contribution from those European-based teams. The individual in this role will be required to communicate effectively with each of these teams and ensure that HRE is well represented in all pertinent forums. They will sit on steering committees and be part of conglomerate initiatives that will contribute to HRE’s success 

To conduct the HRE Europe Lead role effectively, this individual will need to: 
•    Oversee HRE strategy HCO/site engagement, technology deployment, and adoption in Europe through regular cadence and effective communication and collaboration with global Solution Architect and deployment managers.  
•    Support the Program Lead in strategic activities such as market scans and assessment, evaluation of product and solution fit for the HRE portfolio, geographic expansion, M&A activities, etc.
•    Participate in multi-team initiatives and possess the ability to represent HRE effectively, contributing to our success.
•    Coordinate and liaise with SMEs in other parts of the business to understand and integrate any developments that would benefit HRE.
•    Communicate effectively with product teams within IQVIA.
•    Marry technical know-how, pragmatism & agility to take account of the rapidly changing nature of the initiative and be able to make challenging decisions, in consultation with the Program Lead; and
•    Support and lead operationalization and success of the HRE solution, by supporting the Program lead with commercial model, GTM, marketing and change management.

From time to time, this individual will be asked to represent HRE in other initiatives within the business and externally. Thus, knowledge of the different parts of the business as well as the industry, will be valuable.

Education, Experience, and Attributes Required
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s and/or MBA preferred
•    7+ years professional experience in these segments of healthcare:  Pharmaceutical, Payor, Provider, or the Healthcare Technology industry
•    Demonstrated experience with initiatives that included change management and adoption of technology 
•    Strong business judgement and ability to comply with very high standards of confidentiality
•    Ability to synthesize facts / content to get to the “so-what” for an executive audience
•    Strong interpersonal, networking and communications skills (written and oral) and ability to build strong, effective relationships with senior leaders
•    Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
•    Knowledge of and experience with information governance.
•    High levels of intellectual curiosity and a desire to “soak-up” the breadth of knowledge that one is exposed to in the role
•    Knowledge of IQVIA’s R&DS and Real-World Evidence offerings a plus
