Parexel is looking for a decentralized Senior Project Manager to join our Baltimore, MD Early Phase Clinical Unit! In this role you will be accountable for the successful delivery of projects and programs by delivering on time, on budget, and to the highest quality while remaining compliant with ICH, GCP, and other applicable regulations. Senior Project Managers lead the Parexel and sponsor teams by combining clinical research experience and project management skills with insight into sponsor pressures and an ability to develop the right solution for each. This requires in-depth business understanding, knowledge, experience, and flexibility to make informed and effective decisions independently. By providing overall leadership of EP clinical trials, the Sr PM ensures the project teams achieve operational excellence and successful execution of the clinical operations and logistical strategy. Make decisions even in ambiguous situations to achieve project timelines and quality Proactively identify and solve problems by using a logical, systematic approach Conduct root cause analysis in business problem solving and process improvement development Gain trust and confidence with a sponsor as well as within PAREXEL Enlist the support of team members in meeting goals Manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm, with attention to detail, strong customer focus, ability to interact professionally Prepare Bid Defense and attend the Bid Defense meeting Effective time management in order to meet daily metrics or team objectives Working directly with other team members to assure comprehensive, efficient and timely management of projects. Owns the sponsor relationship and is responsible for sponsor communication Provides a central point of study contact and single point of escalation on behalf of the functional teams (clinical, data management, biostatistics, medical writing, logistics, contracts, finance, medical and pharmacovigilance) Proactively communicate with the sponsor and internal groups ensuring that they have all the information required on project progress and status (risk analyses, what-if scenarios, contingency plans, technical information, significant changes of any kind, etc.) Prioritize effectively and respond to urgent requests within team or from sponsor Lead team meetings on a regular basis with project team to ensure project objectives are met; ensure the on-going communication to team members of the scope of work, timeline and project goals, technical information, and input from sponsor throughout the project including significant changes in resourcing, scope of work and timelines Lead regular meetings/calls with sponsor to ensure they are fully informed of project progress, proactive decisions / solutions and how the project objectives are being achieved

QualificationsPersonal skills that include: Ability to take initiative Ability to successfully work in a team environment Sense of urgency in completing assigned tasks Commitment to high quality work and respective consistent performance Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Action oriented Excellent presentation skills A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning Business / Operational skills that include Experience as Functional Team Leader in clinical/data management/logistics functions or proven experience in coordinating clinical trials Provision of win-win solutions to problems In-depth understanding and experience in the clinical trial process Financial Management skills Contingency Planning & Risk Management skills Knowledge and Experience: 6 to 8 years related work experience as a clinical research project manager. Bachelor’s degree in a science related field - Advanced degree preferred. Additional Business degree or PMP or equivalent an advantage Scientific/Medical/Pharmacology background required Experience working in Early Phase and Start Up This role may be subject to government and/or customer requirements regarding vaccination against COVID-19 that are more stringent than Parexel policy.
