Job Summary

We are seeking a Real Estate Intern for our Facility Management Services team located in Wilmington, MA

An Internship/Co-op at Charles River Labs provides real world, hands-on experience for college students looking to gain knowledge and skills required for your career field of choice, while giving you an unparalleled internship experience.  We are dedicated to ensuring our Co-op/Intern population can experience the ability to Grow, Perform, and Succeed during their time on board.

The Real Estate Intern will provide support for Global Real Estate group, work closely with the real estate team on projects involving Charles River Laboratories properties.     Support collection of site plans for owned facilities and develop process for mining database for opportunities to extract value from existing owned portfolio. Support an ongoing initiative to develop and document global real estate's strategy, guidelines and standards, processes, and procedures. Assist with keeping systems and documentation updated, ensuring appropriate version control. Facilitate the management of the real estate database and key metrics to ensure accuracy of information. Participate in developing important metrics and ways to run, evaluate and improve management of the global real estate portfolio. Provide the data analytics necessary for the real estate cost tracking and cost saving effort. The Intern will also assist with creation of various professional presentations and perform additional duties as assigned Additionally, will provide support for Acquisition post-merger integration activities, and provide support for the development, implementation of improved real estate portfolio tools and processes.

Job Qualifications

The following are minimum requirements related to the Real Estate Intern position: •    Student currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Master's degree. Major: Real Estate, Business, Engineering degree, municipal planning, or related discipline is required •    GPA of 3.3 or higher •    Ability to fulfill a 6-month internship  •    Willingness to learn the Charles River business so that appropriate contacts can be made for data collection and decision validation. •    Ability to understand Charles River purchasing requirements to develop cross-functional data linkages and support go-forward business processes. •    Process understanding to assist with design and implementation •    Ability to research, assess and summarize key findings from written literature/contracts.  •    Ability to compile, cleanse/correct and analyze quantitative data from multiple data sources with tools such as MS Excel or MS Access.  •    Experience or ability to quickly learn and use document management systems.

The pay range for this position is $25-$30 per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
