Job Summary

Perform routine daily and preventative maintenance and assist in construction and refurbishment of physical plant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

•    Perform a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks to assist in the daily repair, preventative maintenance and construction of physical plant and expansion projects, including basic carpentry, masonry, electrical, heating/air-conditioning, plumbing, painting, mechanical and floor/wall coating installation. •    Perform scheduled inspections/repairs on all facilities systems. •    Perform supply, delivery, distribution and acquisition tasks as directed. •    Assist in moving office contents within site, including furniture, files, etc. as needed. •    Maintain accurate records of maintenance repairs and services. •    Respond to emergencies as needed.  Provide 24-hour on-call maintenance coverage, as scheduled in rotation. •    Take proper safety precautions and utilize appropriate safety gear/equipment in the performance of all duties. •    May provide guidance to less experienced/skilled utility workers. •    Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

•    Education:  High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) •    Experience:  One to two years’ experience in general building maintenance with mechanical and construction background. •    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. •    Certification/Licensure:  None. •    Other:  Must be able to understand and follow verbal directions.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $35.00. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
