Data Scientist, Data Science & Advanced Analytics– the role

• Involvement in Enterprise-level analytics and machine learning projects, starting with Marketing Automation
• Application of modern data mining, statistical machine learning technologies to identify complex relationships and derive business-relevant findings
• Collaboration in the development and execution of complex statistical, econometric, and machine learning analysis (Advanced Analytics, Predictive Analytics), especially in the area of Operational Effectiveness (e.g., Next Best Customer, Profiling, Segmentation and Targeting, Brand Performance drivers and optimisation, etc)

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Advanced degree in Mathematics/Statistics,Economics/Econometrics, Computer Science or related field
• Professional experience in quantitative data analysis or PhD with relevant professional experience in data science and machine learning algorithms
• Good knowledge and understanding of Data Science and Machine Learning methods
• Experience applying Machine Learning methods to business questions
• Good knowledge of the higher statistical and econometric methods in theory and practice
• Experience with handling Big Data
• Skilled in Python/R, SQL,…
• Understanding of REST APIs and web services
• Fluent in English
• Strong analytic mindset and logical thinking capability, strong QC mindset
• Demonstrates consulting, creativity, critical thinking, project planning, and attention to detail capabilities
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical market and experience with pharmaceutical data (medical, hospital, pharmacy, claims data) would be a plus, but not a must

Location and travel

• Role based in IQVIA’s London office (now working from home under current government guidelines)
• Minimal travel expected to other IQVIA offices or to attend conferences.
