Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

To provide billing, receivables and other administrative support to IQVIA Biotech’s Finance department in the billing and collections of its projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and submit invoices to client.  Ensuring charges are appropriate and within guidelines of contracts. 
  • Manage Accounts Receivables, including follow-up with clients on past due invoices.
  • Heavy communication, primarily through email, with project managers, finance personnel, and clients.
  • Assist Billing Supervisor and Project Financial Managers with preparation of monthly/ad hoc financial reports.
  • Support Project Financial Analyst and Project Finance Managers in the setup of projects in PeopleSoft, to include Upfront invoicing, correct billing contacts and terms, as needed.
  • Assist Manager, Finance with updating, formatting and maintaining billing and receivable related training manuals and / or desk procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent computer skills required; demonstrated advanced knowledge of Excel, experience in MS Office software (Word, Access, PowerPoint). 
  • Ability to maintain long-range projects while managing daily details with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze and organize work efficiently with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff at IQVIA Biotech.
  • Familiarity with clinical research services.
  • Communicates effectively (verbal and written) internally and externally.

CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ADA CRITERIA:

  • Very limited physical effort required to perform normal job duties.

MINIMUM RECRUITMENT STANDARDS:

  • BS/BA (or equivalent) with 1- 2 years of billing experience, or an AA with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated proficiency in Excel required. 
  • Experience in the Clinical Research area preferred.
  • Strong financial aptitude required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel required. 
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Accounting Software preferred.

CLASSIFICATION (US):

This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act; employees are eligible for overtime compensation subject to prior approval.
