Sr. Director, (Clinical Research) Business Process Excellence

The Integrated Delivery Enablement Office will direct and control how Clinical Research Services (CRS) business units measures and optimizes project-related operational, financial, resource assignment and quality performance through metrics, methodologies, tools and communications.

The Senior Director, Business Process Excellence will cooperatively interact with other enterprise support functions to ensure data and performance driven delivery.

Key AccountabilitiesEngages across the organization to develop and maintain operational support, metrics and reporting, compliance behaviors and project planning to business partners in CRS.Lead/support key operational, system and reporting improvement initiatives Evaluate the need for and support the building of informatics capabilities designed to enhance operational performance, reporting and capacity management Align process improvement, change management, and technology initiatives across CRS to eliminate redundancy and conflicting priorities Support corporate initiatives that originate outside of PSO and require CRS input Develop and implement a formal cross-functional project risk governance framework and monitor compliance Oversee and drive a communication framework for project management related communications and meetings Engages with Enterprise and Biotech segments to align partnership initiatives across the organization related to PSO activities.Provides a range of leadership and team building capabilities to support the achievement of PSO goalsDevelop and evaluate procedures, processes, and training materials to support activities.Manage and develop assigned staff Mentor/coach direct reports and extended teams on assigned areas of accountability

QualificationsMinimum Work ExperienceRelevant work experience in clinical research with preference towards significant CRO experienceExperience working in or managing PMO/PSO/portfolio governance processesAnalytical skills and experience managing risk-based oversight programsThe ability to develop high performing teams and lead in a matrixed environmentLine management experience Organization change managementThe ability to build interdependent partnerships, acting as the mediator between organizationsUnderstanding of clinical research systems and platforms requiredExperience working in Operations Understanding of technical language and a root understanding with analytics and tools used for report building and analysis
