Job Overview
Provides expert level input to the pre-sales technical activities for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions.

Essential Functions
• Provides technical knowledge, advice and support to sales representatives, resellers and customers during the pre-sales process to resolve requests regarding product/service technical issues and maximize the benefits derived from the organization's products and/or services.
• Assists customers during the sales process to maximize the benefits derived from the organization's products and/or services.
• Provides presales technical expertise to the sales team and customers during the pre-sales process.
• Provides technical input into bid proposals, projects and technical documents within sales process, and may identify additional sales opportunities with existing customers. Provides pre-sale technical support in sales presentation and product demonstrations at customer sites.
• Develops detailed customer installation and/or system integration plans.
• Creates detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions.
• Provides primary pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions.
• Assists sales staff in assessing potential application of products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions.
• Builds mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client. Provides consultation to perspective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.
• Understand both business and technical perspectives

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience Req
• 5-8 years of field sales engineering experience in lieu of degree Req
