The Sample Management Lead fulfills all of the duties of a Sr. Sample Coordinator in addition to oversight, coordination, and continued development of the technical training needs of all sample coordinators. This position will work 1st shift (8am-4:30pm) and can be for Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday. Oversees scheduling of sample management staff and assists the AD, Ops Labs with oversight of the department. Performs any or all Sample Coordinator functions to include oversight and performance of a variety of complex standard tasks and sample tasks (receipt, accessioning, routing, storage, aliquotting, shipping, discard, destruction, etc.) in support of the Sample Management department. Oversees the scheduling of sample coordinators. Assists management with oversight of the department. Acts as back-up in the absence of management. Acts as a technical liaison for project-specific sample-management procedures. Company overview:

Requirements:

Education and Experience: High School Diploma required Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a regulated laboratory environment Or an equivalent combination of education, training and professional experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic understanding of GLP/GCP Solid project management skillsComputer skills – specifically experience with use of databases Familiarity with MS Word, Excel and Power Point Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks Good leadership abilities Strong detail orientation Excellent communication skills Problem solving/troubleshooting abilities Service mentality
