EMEA Provider & Site Solutions high science bid pursuit team opportunities

An important part of our IQVIA EMEA strategy is to continue to establish and grow our footprint of being in the middle of healthcare serving life science companies, healthcare providers, governments, regulators and payers.

As we accelerate our growth into healthcare markets we are seeking to recruit talented individuals to be part of the high science bid pursuit team.  This team is part of our IQVIA EMEA Provider and Site Solutions business whose remit is to define and drive IQVIA’s expansion into Healthcare, working in close collaboration with IQVIA country organisations.

The Provider & Site Solutions high science bid pursuit team is newly forming and hence this is a great opportunity to be a key part of shaping and building up an innovative and exciting part of our IQVIA organisation.

The role will have a high client focus, working closely with clients to identify sales opportunities but also to craft innovative solutions to meet high science client problems, often with collaborative grant co-funding from the cancer mission or EU Horizon programmes. This high science bid pursuit team will shape digital payer/provider projects and support tenders regionally and with country opportunities. The individuals involved will have a unique opportunity to shape how IQVIA will approach the digital payer provider market, and to learn and develop a broad general management outlook towards a dynamic and complex policy, research and health improvement agenda. There is the real opportunity to make #datasaveslives happen.

Example opportunities the team might be asked to support:

  • Partnership negotiation with not-for-profit consortia or external parties, such as DIGICORE, the Public Private partnership IQVIA has signed with 21 partners and 2 national cancer networks
  • Project management of large technology pilots, such as those under discussion with Illumina to digitise DIGICORE and routinely link large panel data to clinical data in Europe
  • Identification and development of data evidence networks in key disease areas
  • Large, complex digital tenders or collaborative academic bids at the European level (for instance the recent Cachexia bid led against the $25M CRUK NCI Grand Challenge programme with an integrated programme of adaptive trials, RWE, discovery -omics and Real world evidence)
  • Development of playbooks of how IQVIA affiliates should enter hospital IT markets
  • IQVIA’s national tenders for large scale genomics programmes, especially where those involve connecting routine clinical data to molecular data

High science Analyst/Consultant

These role will be part of the high science bid pursuits team, also working with the genomics & precision medicine lead to support activities to identify key opportunities and shape innovative and novel (where appropriate) solutions to meet client problems. There is more scope to shape these roles to exceptional individuals and their background and interest

Key requirements for the role include:

  • Good understanding of one or more of: real world data, clinical informatics, precision medicine, digital tools for clinical research or clinical care management
  • Experience of or strong interest in business development
  • Comfortable and confident presentation and facilitation skills
  • Able to create engaging presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build internal and external networks
  • Enjoys collaborating with others to achieve best outcomes
  • Solution oriented mindset
  • Able to build budget and budget models
  • Strong excel skills
  • High intellect, able to quickly grasp the big-picture
  • Exceptional enquiring mind
  • Spanish or Italian language is desirable but not essential

Expected qualifications

  • Life Sciences related MSc or PhD
  • Analyst: >2 years post-graduation experience in industry or academic project management
