We are seeking a Research Scientist for our Antibody Discovery site located in South San Francisco, CA.  

  

The successful candidate will work as a part of the Protein Sciences team to support purification and analytical characterization of recombinant proteins and antibodies. This role will require work primarily in a laboratory setting. You will possess strong analytical capability, interpersonal skills, a highly collaborative work ethic, the ability to adapt to changing needs, and the capacity to multitask to meet key goals.  

 

Key technical skills: 

•    Experience in different protein characterization technologies (DLS, HPLC, SEC-MALS, CE-SDS, Western Blot, ELISA, etc) is essential.

•    Knowledge and experience on antibody developability and protein formulation would be highly valued.

•    Recombinant protein purification experience using Ni-NTA, SEC, IEX, ProA columns is a plus.

•    Understanding and hands on experience with BLI is a plus. Job Qualifications  

The following are minimum requirements related to the Research Scientist position.

•    Education: Bachelor’s or Masters in Protein Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related fields.

•    Experience: Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience in biotech/industry in a similar role.  

•    Basic understanding of protein and antibody purification and analytical characterization of recombinant proteins and antibodies strongly preferred. 

•    Highly motivated with a strong willingness to learn and grow. Must be able to work productively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

•    Strong analytical and organizational skills are essential.
