About the Position:

We have an excellent opportunity for a Diversity and Inclusion/University Program Specialist in Talent Acquisition to help continue our journey to build a conscious D&I recruitment strategy, as well as early career strategy. This individual will lead our North America talent acquisition team developing and executing against talent strategies in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion as well as university recruitment for our clinical and corporate functions. Based in either our Wilmington, NC corporate headquarters or Morrisville, NC office (or within driving distance of either), you will deliver comprehensive talent programs, initiatives and solutions to increase our actionable recruitment strategy in these areas.

Job Description:

Working within the TA Center of Expertise, you will be responsible for two areas of focus:

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Collaborate with TA leaders, HR leaders and other stakeholders to develop and execute on talent strategies to continue to attract and engage diverse talent.

Early Career Talent: Collaborate with TA leaders and other stakeholders to manage existing internship programs while expanding reach, improving intern experience, and focusing on building talent pipeline for the organization. Build upon existing relationships with universities while expanding further to create pipeline for early career talent for clinical and corporate roles.

You will be an effective communicator, working across multiple functions to support a cohesive HR strategy.

Essential Functions: Review, revise, and administer current diversity recruitment programs Plan, design and implement new HR programs to grow our efforts Act as D&I sourcing lead Measure engagement, ROI, success of HR programs as well as monitor external and internal trends and influences Research and maintain working knowledge of applicable legislation, client/competitor programs, trends and best practices Foster internal partnerships to assess business state and department needs, shaping current and future programs to meet demands Cultivate and maintain partnerships with universities and hiring partners Provide training, guidance and consultation on assigned programs and designated areas of expertise Assist in developing of internal and external communication to ensure compliance, focus on inclusive messaging, and diverse representation Promote advancement and education around diversity and inclusion both within and outside of the department Advise teams and may lead complex projects to improve and enhance candidate or employee engagement with, scope and/or global reach, and overall effectiveness of designated HR programs Cultivate relationships with universities, attending career events, and expanding PPD’s talent brand across university partners.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Firm knowledge ofrecruitment practices Expertise and passion around diversity, equity, and inclusion with a desire to grow and improve programs Demonstrated ability to make sound recommendations when focusing on staffing and selection strategies relating to business issues Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with experience creating and delivering PowerPoint presentations Good organizational and time management skills Ability to handle sensitive information and data effectively and with sound judgement Satisfactory analytical and quantitative abilities Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results Good written and oral communications skills, and ability to build trusting relationships Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external clients
