Summarized Purpose:

Contributes to the overall financial performance of the corporation through development and analysis of key performance metrics/trends/analyses related to overall authorization performance and executes on key commercial infrastructural initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the commercial organization. Develops and transforms infrastructural support for PPD’s commercial department’s efforts.

Essential Functions and Other Job Information: Facilitates pipeline reviews, produce weekly forecasts, manage the authorization approval process through finance while driving commercial goals, and assist with the reviews and final approval of sales attainment for compensation. Executes strategy for various key commercial infrastructural initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and success of the commercial organization. Develops processes to track and analyze account performance and territory/customer segmentation performance. Supports commercial AOP and budgeting processes. Assists with building executive presentations and board meeting content for organization and sponsor leadership. Collaborates with multiple stakeholders to enhance processes and tools to track and/or analyze account and/or segment performance.

Assists with identifying and producing relevant KPIs and analyses based on new commercial processes and defined structures which will allow leadership to measure success and work toward continuous improvement of the organization.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8 years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to provide strategic direction and build/maintain relationships across disciplines internally and externally Strong quantitative and qualitative data review and analysis skills Ability to develop data-driven business cases and analytics to help drive customer strategy (including customer segmentation, strategy and account planning) Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and visual reporting formats to senior executive level Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking to impact the annual operating and account planning Ability to effectively facilitate multiple projects simultaneously, delivering all at a high-level under tight timeline constraints Demonstrated leadership with demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams Strong judgment and decision making skills Sophisticated oral/presentation and written communication skills with ability to translate data and communicate complex ideas

Management Role:

No management responsibility

Working Conditions and Environment: Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both domestic and international.

Physical Requirements: Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Frequent mobility required. Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs. Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf. Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups. Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Requires multiple periods of intense concentration. Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multitask. Regular and consistent attendance.
