TheAssociate Group Leader/Group Leaderwill act as the point person, provide direction, and technical expertise to PPD employees working onsite at the client lab facility. You will provide administrative resources for employee activities and needs. Work closely with the client contacts to monitor the technical performance of staff and their project timeliness. You will spend most of your time in the lab providing technical support for client projects within the Analytical Development team, as well as assisting with some administrative duties.

Additional responsibilities for the role on site at a major pharmaceutical company: Provides technical support in the lab performing HPLC, KF, dissolution, troubleshooting, and method development Provides leadership and direction to laboratory staff and resources for project activities and needs, oversee daily operations to monitor quality and project timelines, and assist in preparation and implementation of company policies, quality systems and training programs. Ensures responsiveness to the customer and overall, client satisfaction. Performs administrative duties for PPD staff such as, Time cards/PTO request approvals, Performance reviews, 1:1 meetings with PPD staff, handle performance issues, welcome point of contact for all new hires, and checking compliance of PPD LMS.At PPD we hire the best, develop ourselves and each other, and recognize the power of being one team. Join PPD in our relentless pursuit of excellence - apply now!Education and Experience: BS degree in a scientific related field (Chemistry, Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry) and previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to minimum 6 years) or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, & experience. 1-2 years of management/leadership responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong ability with analytical techniques such as HPLC, KF, method development, dissolution, GC Proven leadership skills Ability to cultivate a collaborative work environment with a team Effective negotiating skills Demonstrated knowledge of QA metrics of program base; ability to write and recommend changes to PPD SOPs Ability to troubleshoot multiple systems/methodologies Ability to independently optimize analytical methods Understanding of basic financial terms and definitions as it applies to the business Understanding of proposal and project scope as it relates to pricing, resource management and the impact on business Project and time management skills Effective written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skillsWorking Environment:
