Job Profile Summary    

Provide overall oversight of all home research nurse recruitment efforts and network building. Includes the development of a strategy and criteria for the recruitment of individual HCPs as well as third-party agencies. Oversee a team of recruiters who will ensure that all individuals and agencies who are part of the home research nursing network meet the high standards set by IQVIA, including that all applicable trainings, certifications, insurance and licenses are in place. Will be responsible for tracking KPIs to evaluate performance of agencies and individuals, ensuring high quality of delivery. Ensures that active study requests for HCPs are fulfilled through the existing network, or, when required, engages third parties to flexibly adjust to ad hoc requests. Acts as a customer-facing home research nurse SME as needed, assisting with the development of RFP responses and customer bid defenses.  

Responsibilities
•    Design a strategy for the development of a network of home-based HCPs including both individual HCPs as well as third-party agencies. 
•    Develop a network of nursing agency partners by first defining requirements (licensing, pricing, geographic reach, staffing policies, etc.) and then use those requirements to identify suitable staffing agencies.
•    Establish contracts/MSAs and rates with agencies and individual HCPs.
•    Assist these nursing agencies through the Vendor Qualification Process at IQVIA
•    Act as ultimate relationship manager with these agencies, driving negotiations, requests, and holding each to a high standard of performance
•    Develop a list of KPIs for measuring the staffing agencies, track and report on those KPIs.
•    Identify a process for recruiting, tracking, and managing individual HCPs for our growing network
•    Hire and manage a team of support staff, including recruiters and training specialists. Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems. Approve actions on human resources matters.
•    Ensure that general training plans are put in place for all nurses, and that those trainings are tracked in an auditable manner and completed in a timely fashion.
•    Ensure that a process is in place for implementing, training, and tracking of protocol-specific trainings, so that IQVIA can easily confirm which nurses are qualified for which studies. 
•    Upon request for staffing of a particular study, work with your team to identify the HCPs (either individuals or agencies) necessary for execution of the study. Advise on feasibility, costs and complications. 
•    Retain oversight over the performance of the HCPs and agencies during a study, to ensure that project deliverables are completed as per the contract, to achieve quality deliverables on time and within budget and in accordance with SOPs, policies and practices. As their first point of contact, provide effective and timely consultation/guidance to HCPs and agencies on issue resolution.
•    Post-study, evaluate HCPs and agencies involved against defined KPIs, ensuring delivery of studies in accordance with customer expectations for quality, timeline, milestones and performance metrics. Coach and mentor HCPs and agencies as appropriate. 
•    Primary escalation points for customers in cases of home HCP delivery issues.  Work with individual staff to identify any quality issues within the study and provide coaching on resolution of issues, including implementation of corrective and preventative action plans and escalation.
•    Support for customer proposal development, pricing and customer bid defense meetings. Provide direct consultation to clients as required.
•    Review metrics and ensure required updates are made in IQVIA systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting is available to senior management.
•    Lead and/or actively participate in corporate initiatives; act as a departmental cross-functional liaison and/or change agent; provide technical expertise and project management experience.

•    Act as organizational SME and liaison point with other groups within IQVIA and outside IQVIA as required

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Experience
Typically requires 10 years of prior relevant experience

Knowledge
Requires intermediate level knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of a job area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.  

Education
Bachelor's Degree    Nursing (BSN) or related field           

Additional Work Experience  
15 years’ clinical research experience including 10 years’ leadership experience, multi-regional and global focus
Direct experience in conducting large scale and complex virtual clinical trials    
Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.             

Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including good command of English language        
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Demonstrated learning agility and openness to learning and keeping own knowledge and skill set current and evolving

Knowledge of clinical trials    

In depth knowledge of, and skill in applying, applicable clinical research regulatory requirements; i.e., Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines and experience with FDA/Sponsor audits a plus        
Business and financial acumen  

Clinical operations experience and extensive familiarity with managing HCP networks and deploying home clinical care in support of clinical trials.        
Collaboration    

Excellent customer service skills.  
Ability to work across geographies displaying high awareness and understanding of  cultural differences
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.
