Associate Product Manager – Warsaw

We are seeking an Associate Product Manager to join our Predictive Analytics (PA) team in Warsaw. You will play an important role in our development activities, working closely with our team who are building innovative machine learning solutions, addressing some of the most pressing issues in healthcare, such as under-diagnosis of rare diseases and identifying patients at high risk of disease progression.

The PA team is currently based across three locations: London, Philadelphia and Warsaw. You will be expanding and working in our existing product management team which spans all three locations but primarily working to support the engineering teams in Warsaw, building the technology that support our healthcare products.

We’re looking for someone who has a passion for building and managing the development of software and is looking to develop in their career as a product manager to help us build great products for healthcare. Your main responsibilities will include gathering feature requirements, helping teams monitor performance, removing blockers to the teams work, working with the lead product manager in prioritization of features, and looking for ways to improve overall user experience.

You will contribute towards the managing of software product components to be used by data scientists as part of the complete PA product offering. Amongst other things, these software product components will include:

  • Data engineering tools to enable complex querying and diverse feature engineering tasks for machine learning on very large data (hundreds of millions of patients).
  • Analytical pipelines to support a range of analytical functions, from data inspection through advanced machine learning solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups
  • Suggest product enhancements to improve user experience
  • Coordinate with the engineering department to deliver functional solutions
  • Conduct research to identify user needs and gaps in our tooling
  • Create support and training documents for users
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
  • Manage backlogs and handle new requests with the product management team
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
  • Help teams implement changes effectively
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
  • Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it
  • Communicate on development progress with stakeholders through reports etc

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous work experience as an Associate Product Manager
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to pitch in when needed to get the job done.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of Scrum techniques (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
  • Knowledge of project management tools, like Jira or Trello
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business or similar field
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).

We would also appreciate if you have some of the following:

  • Scrum affiliated certification (e.g. scrum master)
  • Knowledge and/or experience working with data science and machine learning applications or products.
  • Experience working with healthcare data or in the healthcare industry.
