PURPOSE

Be the advocate for one or more of our Key Customer within the Global Supply Chain function, liaising with clients on all topics pertaining to Logistics, Clinic Trial Kitting, Inventory and Materials Management, Sourcing, etc. Perform complex analysis to drive value for Q Squared Solutions and our Customers, support customer escalations, design solutions and commercial models (in concert with Acct Mgmt, BD, Pricing Teams). Drive internal focus within the Supply Chain functions to best serve your customer(s) needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate and provide analysis on client RFIs and RFPs
  • Work with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure study and demand pipeline is understood and translated to internal Supply Chain departments for appropriate actions & support
  • Undertake Logistics feasibility modelling includes Investigator site selection analysis
  • Review Clinical Trial kit wastage and proactively manage communications to project teams, sites and/or sponsor.
  • Prepare information for sponsor on investigator site performance, including budget vs actual analysis and outcome recommendations for changes where appropriate
  • Work with global counterparts ensure understanding of outcomes derived from logistical analysis
  • Directly liaise with functional & regional heads of Logistics, Kitting, Sourcing, Materials & Inventory, Project Management, Business Development, Contract & Proposals, Strategic Pricing and other parties outside Q Squared Solutions to achieve Supply Chain efficiencies and value for customers.
  • Ensure periodic validation of proposals assumptions.
  • Support client escalations and Delivery Actions Plans (or similar)
  • Support ad-hoc client discussions on any/all related Supply Chain functions, brining in SMEs as needed to support dialog.
  • Establish and undertake regular data analysis to support internal and customer-specific Supply Chain Metrics, and to measure Supply Chain value
  • Liaise with vendors as needed (and in concert with Sourcing/Procurement teams) to support specific Customer needs. Refine and adapt to meet changing business needs.
  • Work with Customer, Project Mgmt/Setup to help ensure selection of study materials fits with Q Squared Solutions standard model, and limits proliferation of SKUs. Where customer specific items are necessary, ensure appropriate commercial agreements with customer and suppliers are in place to protect Q Square Solutions risk and liabilities
  • Develop and maintain good communication and working relationships with internal and external clients and vendors.
  • Maintain and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to Supply Chain related regulations, and training.
  • Keep abreast of current data, trends, regulations, developments, and advances in area of expertise.
  • Develop and implement new processes to improve Supply Chain, and our interactions with our Customer, across all of Q Squared Solutions
  • Develop, revise and maintain current practices, policies and procedures to support both the department and internal / external customers.
  • Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Excellent knowledge of Supply Chain, principles, theories, processes and practices. Subject Matter Expertise in one or more areas would be advantageous (Logistics, Inventory Mgmt, Production Operations, Sourcing/Procurement)
  • Experience of working within a Clinical Trials / CRO type environment
  • High proficiency in data analysis – at a minimum Advanced MS Excel skills, but ideally some business intelligence analytics also (eg MS Power BI, Tableau, Oracle BI, SQL, MS Access, etc
  • Excellent knowledge of all MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to identify financial issues, develop and execute mitigating actions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present confidently to internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Project Management experience
  • Effective influencing skills across different levels of staff
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients
  • Experience working in a global business environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech

· Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers

· Regular sitting for extended periods of time

  • Some travel may be required, <10% (eg visits to Q Squared Solutions and Customer locations)
