  Job Summary  

We are looking for a Training Specialist to join our Toxicology team located in Laval.

 

How will you have an impact

As a Training Specialist, you will train technical staff related to Animal Health. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.

Full-Time Schedule : Mostly day shifts, depending on the needs we may have to do weekend and holidays rotations.  What will you work on? 

You will be called to do the training related to animal room cleaning, contention methods, data recording such as body weight and clinical signs. You will also have to guide and support less experienced employees and trainers, ensure good communication with the supervisors and other departments. Finally, you will have to ensure the integrity of the studies and fulfill the regulatory agencies requirements by performing the activities according to the Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). 

 

Who are we looking for? 

We are looking for candidates with a technical background in animal health or bio-ecology or with a bachelor’s degree in biology or animal science. The ideal candidate must have good communication skills, be a team player with good observation skills and must be able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg). Finally, the ideal candidate must have a good understanding of English and French and must be a reference, an example and a leader for Animal Welfare, Health and Safety, quality and attendance. 

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.
