  Job Summary  

We are seeking a Calibration Specialist I for our Cell Therapy Manufacturing Facility located in Memphis, TN.  

 

The Calibration Specialist I will be responsible for calibrating equipment in the internal calibration program. The Calibration Specialist I will be an integral part of the calibration team, provide technical support to other team members on a variety of instrumentation and equipment, and generate all documentation required by the calibration program. The Calibration Specialist I will also assist in maintaining NIST traceable calibration standards, complete calibration work orders, and create/review SOPs for calibrations of new and existing equipment.

Must be able to work flexible hours; including possible rotating schedules that may include early morning or evening hours, holidays, and weekends.  Overtime may be required occasionally. 

 

The following are responsibilities related to the Calibration Specialist I position:

  Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate instrumentation and control systems on process equipment. Responsible for the quality of product through the calibration and maintenance of production instrumentation and controls. Complete scheduled and unscheduled work orders and preventative maintenance duties, while completing required documentation. Develop, review, and perform calibrations per standard operating procedures for required instrumentation. Provide technical support to process mechanics, utilities mechanics, and production personnel, as needed. Recognize and troubleshoot malfunctioning instrumentation and controls without direct supervision. Assist in the training of plant personnel on new and/or modified equipment or procedures relating to instrumentation. Assist with validations and revalidations, as needed. Assist in the procurement of stock and repair parts. Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). All other duties as assigned by leader. Job Qualifications  

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Calibration Specialist I position:

  Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.  Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver license.  Calibration, controls or process equipment experienced personal preferred. Works well with, and gets along with customers, coworkers, and management within a team concept, and communicates effectively when necessary.
