Senior Investigator Payments Specialist

The Senior Investigator Setup Specialist is expected to create budget templates in the investigator payment system for expenses outlined in Parexel’s contractual agreements between the sponsor, participating institutions and investigators.  Modifications to existing budget templates is also completed upon request as a result of amended contracts and other requests that affect payments. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, participating in study start-up meetings and providing support to colleagues.

The Senior Investigator Setup Specialist receives assignments based upon tickets submitted to the Investigator Fund Setup SVD in the Assyst Ticketing tool. The Senior Investigator Setup Specialist is expected to have a solid understanding of the requirements to create a new or modify an existing budget template.  The most essential knowledge component required is the ability to understand the contract expense details and apply the budget breakdown to the design pattern in the investigator payment system. 

Key Accountabilities:Accurate budget template setups based upon fully executed contractual agreementWork closely with contract leadership, project leadership, payment specialists and other internal team members to obtain additional information required to perform the budget template setup, when applicableNotify the assigned Payment Specialist upon completion of the budget template to request the review and approval of the setup to confirm accuracy compared to the contractual agreementComplete updates to the budget template, as required, based upon quality control or amendment requestsEnsure that all documentation is included in the ticket request for tracking purposesSubmit ticket requests to the Accounts Payable team to create payee setups associated with the budget template; ensuring that all requirement documents are included, and pre-requisites are metThorough knowledge of Parexel’s SOPs, Operational Guidelines and Work Instructions proceduresStrong technical ability, intermediate analytical skillsSelf-Starter: proactively initiates discussions & analytics for deliverablesEfficient worker; hits deadlines with no basic mistakes in workOrganized and able to have multiple deliverables on-going at most timesAbility to identify risks and their impactOwnership of more challenging & complex tasksDelivers timely and accurate work, which doesn’t need review before reaching end userAnalysis or issue commentary conveys all needed points to aid understandingStrong prioritization skills allow for effective use of time managementCreates clear, concise, accurate deliverablesProactive communication of issues/concerns through leadershipInitiates discussions about deadline slips or changes in deliverable’s scopeBuilds relationships across Parexel to leverage when issues ariseDeveloping influencing skills, including using data to help persuadeTeamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities; Puts success of team above own interests; Supports everyone's efforts to succeed. Education:BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Life Sciences, alternatives considered based on experience.
