Job Summary Charles River is looking for an experienced HR professional who will design and implement an enhanced global HR shared services delivery model in partnership with your HR colleagues, operational leaders, and IT to simplify processes while enabling manager and employee self-service. This transformation is a core part of the People Strategy and enhancing the employee experience.

In addition, this role is responsible for leading the core HR Operations team who are accountable for optimizing utilization of the company’s HRIS (SuccessFactors) and implementing standardized processes and governance to improve data integrity. This includes developing the global strategy to implement enhanced reporting and data analytics and advance the use of complex analytical techniques and statistical thinking across Human Resources to deliver insights.

This role will be part of the global HR & Communications Leadership team and report to the Chief People Officer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities •Determine the approach and structure to operationalize a tiered HR service delivery model, driving integration and collaboration across workstreams which include HR SMEs, IT, finance, and business colleagues

•Identify and implement an integrated technology solution to drive self-service, speed of resolution, and reduce ticket volume

•Over time expand the scope of support provided by the Shared Services team to handle a greater number of employee inquiries and perform operational HR tasks

•Build the resource plan to support the future Shared Services vision, balancing the efficiencies of a centralized hub with the local knowledge required to provide effective support

•Determine the right resource mix and locations.

•Develop the framework for identifying and evaluating work that can transition to Shared Services

•Oversee comprehensive process documentation and establish controls procedures as needed

•Work with the team who is responsible for the effective and efficient utilization of the company’s HRIS (SuccessFactors) and HR applications. Provide oversight in the area of HRIS administration and management, data analytics and reporting. Supporting the team who will:

•Partner with IT to identify opportunities to optimize SuccessFactors and to deliver/implement new applications and changes. Responsible for ensuring system configuration and testing of system functionality prior to full release in production.

•Provide training and assistance within HR to ensure new applications and changes are fully understood and SuccessFactors is fully utilized.

•Ensure that SuccessFactors is effectively integrated with other corporate management information system initiatives to minimize manual effort

•Ensure the HRIS team has the right skills, knowledge, and capability to deliver

•Build an effective quality assurance program and a culture of continuous improvement

•Develop deep partnerships with Regional and Functional HRBPs and Global Process Owners

•Stay current with marketplace trends, research external standard methodologies and continuously challenge the status quo by championing new, creative ideas through well structured, supported, and clearly articulated points of view, balancing risk, reward, and trade-offs

•Act as a role model and mentor in the broader organization by clearly showing strength in established leadership proficiencies both in behaviors and actions

•Identify sustainable strategic improvements, suggest corrective actions, coordinate implementation and track efficiencies achieved

•Lead and drive the change management process by creating and implementing strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage Job Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) required; advanced degree preferred.

• Experience: 15+ years of directly leading complex global business services in a global/multi-national environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
