Senior Mobile Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as top level technical expert and team mentor on complex mobile application development projects
  • Design and implement robust iOS-based mobile applications in the clinical research industry
  • Be responsible for all development team deliverables, including design specifications, system manuals and unit testing approach and evidence
  • Interact with corporate and project team members to negotiate timelines, responsibilities and deliverables
  • Perform peer review of work products such as code, designs, and test plans produced by other team members regarding IT standards and procedures
  • Mentors junior team members in training and developing technical expertise
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features
  • Accurately estimate the effort and time requirements of features and fixes
  • Utilizes source control, continuous integration and unit testing best practices
  • Provide leadership and guidance to continue to establish development best practices and standards for the organization
  • Recommend course of action regarding project issues/concerns, implement mitigation plans, then escalate risks and issues to senior IT management as necessary
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive and complementary products and experiences.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering complex applications on the iOS platform
  • Experience with publishing apps in the Apple App Store
  • Experience building solutions on top of cloud-based SaaS platforms (Azure, AWS, Heroku)
  • Experience delivering on a frequent Agile cadence 
  • Ability to identify root causes of technical problems and recommend solutions
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Possess an expert knowledge in software development tools, practices, and lifecycle methodologies
  • Must love working in fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and have a minimum of 6+ years of software development experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

DESIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Heroku, Salesforce, Azure, AWS, Google) 
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of the clinical drug development industry, procedures/processes, and regulatory standards
  • Experience working with Mulesoft Anypoint platform for API integrations is a plus!
