Senior Project Manager - Regulatory

Job Purpose:

Experienced in project management to deliver large complex solutions to large organizations to meet or exceed customer satisfaction. In addition to full project lifecycle responsibilities, the role includes project budget accountability, contract management and pre-sales consulting.

Key Accountabilities:

Project Planning and Tracking Create and maintain detailed project plans reflective of contractual requirements and distribute tasks to project team. Track performance and take corrective actions for changes and delays.

Contract Management Verifies Statement of Work to determine if proposed scope, cost, staffing and effort are appropriate to meet the client requirements. Manages changes of scope with customer and creates appropriate change orders in a timely manner to reduce the need for PAREXEL to work without a contract in place. Ensures contracts and their deliverables are signed and stored in appropriate project repositories which are in a network location.

Financial Management Verifies project cost estimates and manages project budget. Understands basic revenue models, P/L impacts of revenue accrual versus cash flow, cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly. Understands pricing model and billing procedures and ensures those are followed. Accurately project forecasts revenue, profitability, margins and utilization.

Communication Effectively and regularly communicates project status, risk, financial performance. Translates often complex technical and/or requirement descriptions into language that can be understood by clients to aid in their decision making and understanding of project functionality

Methodology Delivery Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.

Risk Management Minimizes PAREXEL and project exposure and risks through regular risk reviews and mitigation development.

Continuous Improvement Collects lessons learned and project metrics and reviews with Client Enablement management.

Team Leadership Leads team to deliver to the project plan through effective project planning, accurate task estimates, task tracking, resource allocation, communication and coaching.

Customer Satisfaction Effectively and regularly communicates project status, risk, financial performance. Translates often complex technical and/or requirement descriptions into language that can be understood by clients to aid in their decision making and understanding of project functions and status.

Problem Solving Able to identify and break down large complex problems into actionable tasks. Able to resolve complex or sensitive conflicts with customer or within PAREXEL.

Quality Assurance Reviews project deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.

Executive Management Interaction Able to present, interact and partner at an executive level both within Parexel and with customers.

Resource Management Responsible for project resource planning and utilization per the project plan.

Sales Support Responsible for supporting the proposal and SOW creation process by providing estimates, approach and scope and assumptions recommendations, as required. QualificationsExperience and Skills Required:

• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrate 6 - 10 years of experience in project management.

• Ability to manage a large to very large project (could have program aspects) or multiple small projects to contractual obligations and customer satisfaction expectations

• Able to direct smaller projects managed by another project manager associated with the delivery of the large or very large project that is being managed directly

• Experienced managing the financial accountability for the project and its contract

• Able to deliver contract obligations within a defined full project lifecycle methodology

• Experienced in delivering projects within validated environments

• Must have general knowledge of delivery and use of web based applications

• Should be a highly motivated business aware professional

• Should be a personable team player able to interact with project staff, customers, system integrators and partners as necessary to deliver the contract

• Should be able to travel internationally up to 50% of the time or as required

• Experience in developing materials and presenting to executive steering committees and adjusting the message from the typical detailed level project status to summary level for executives

• Experience in supporting the sales process both pre-contract and in change order creation

• Experience in Regulatory Information Management is highly desirable
