Italian University launches an Innovative Approach to Automated Carbon Dioxide Angiography During Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair

University of Bologna is starting a new clinical trial of An Innovative Approach to Automated Carbon Dioxide Angiography During Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair.

The study aims to perform Endovascular Aortic Repair procedures with CO2-Angiography using a standardized an operative Protocol.

Primary outcome measure is technical success to assess the renal ostia and the hypogastric arteries (defined as 100% accuracy correlated to the iodinated contrast agent angiography or IVUS/FUSION techniques).

The clinical trial started in December 12, 2018 and will continue throughout September 30, 2021.

The patients that can be enrolled into this study include male and female population, at the age > 18 years, patients with indication for AAA.
