In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. JOB SUMMARY We are seeking an Animal Care/HusbandryTechnician I for our GEMS-Breed Department located in Wilmington, MA. The Animal Care Technician will maintain and monitor the health, production, and physical environment of Charles River or external customer animals within isolators, micro-isolator caging and/or ventilated cage systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform animal husbandry which will include feeding, watering and cleaning cages. Implement breeding and sampling procedures to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain physical environment cleanliness, biosecurity and accurate department/animal records within the internal database system. Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operating equipment and supplies per safety and ergonomic guidelines. Complete other duties as required.

Compensation: $15.00/hour

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The following are minimum requirements related to theAnimal Care/HusbandryTechnician I position. High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Twelve (12) months related experience in and/or training in animal husbandry. AALAS certification at the Assistant Technician or its equivalent.
