Job Summary We are seeking a qualified Animal Care Technician 3  for our Insourcing Solutions site in Emeryville, CA area + $1,000 sign on Bonus.

The Animal Care Technician 3 will care for the animals used in research and development studies key responsibilities include: Conduct room inspections to assess the animals’ health and cage environment as well as all related paperwork and record keeping. Perform and report clinical observations to required standards. Provide general husbandry as needed to include, for example, animal receiving and cage changes. Perform general housekeeping and sanitation as required Able to perform the following techniques to assist in in vivo studies:  Oral gavage in rodents , IV, SQ, IP, IM injection techniques in rodents , Blood collection: , Tail vein in rodents , Orbital sinus in rodents , Cardiac in rodents , Necropsy and tissue collection Rodent euthanasia  Dispose of animal carcasses following established procedures. Develop an understanding of and regularly utilize available information resources and systems (e.g., SOPs, policies, computer applications Conduct procedures in compliance with established protocols/plans and with regulatory and laboratory requirements. Job Qualifications

Education/Experience : Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in animal or life sciences field preferred.

OR High School diploma/GED and four (4) years directly related work experience in laboratory animal husbandry and technical skills as detailed above required.

• Experience:

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

• Certification/Licensure: AALAS certification at the LAT level preferred.
