  Job Summary  

A Product Owner creates product roadmap and defines the strategic vision for their team driven by the overall vision. They have a deep understanding of the target market/industry and build close relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that the team’s effort is aligned with overall strategy. A Product Owner manages dependencies with other team’s functions while identifying, building and managing strategic partnership across the different teams. They work closely within their team to ensure business value and user feedback is translated into new developments when necessary. Product owners will be accountable for specific business KPIs based on the area of the product they are focused on. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate it effectively to stakeholders, the team, and the rest of the unit  End to end team output strategy from inception to production  Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure digital vision and products align within team strategy and requirements  Works closely with Lead Product OwnerCPO to establish each product’s business value and support messaging, communication and customer outreach as necessary  Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for their team.    Maintain the integrity and guide the evolution of themes, epics and user stories  Maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team  Adjust the scope, prioritiespriorities, and timing of deliverables in collaboration with Aagile team and stakeholders according to business evolution and conditions  Manage technical debt when prioritizing backlog  Accountable for product specific KPIs/OKRs once solution enters production and communicate regular tracking to stakeholders   Facilitate release planning with stakeholders as well as weekly regular demos  Validate the software is donewn according to the definition of “done”  Is a key role on Agile team(s) and works onsite with the team on a daily basis  Integrate usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer driven design  Align outward facing product requirements and stakeholders  Strong verbal and written communication skills  Highly analytical approach to work  Perform all other related duties as assigned.  Job Qualifications  

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology. Professional Scrum Product Owner certifications are a plus. 

Bachelors degree from an accredited university.     

 

Experience: Experienced in facilitating Aagile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.) Deep experience leading with teams in an Aagile setting. Experience with B2B or B2C digital products. Proven knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the relevant industry. Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams from tech, design, and business. Proven knowledge and understanding of standard precision practices, technology and supporting industry principles. Understanding and knowledge of various roles at a retail branch level and how they interact with product offering. 2+ years of experience as a product owner, product manager, or 2+ years of product development, or other managerial experience in a team-oriented software development environment. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and principles. Proficiency in assertive communication, presentation, and leadership. Proficiency in business analysis. Proficiency in current technological capabilities for software products. Knowledge of and strong interest in emerging web and mobile technologies. Knowledge of the drug development / life sciences industry is a plus. CPM and/or knowledge of Business Intelligence, PLM, Salesforce, ERP is a plus.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above
