On-Site Inventory and Supply Manager

<div> <p>This position is seeking a strategic partner, whom will be responsible for designing and implementing improved inventory management practices across multiple locations, within the Hospital Laboratory setting. Located within a large scale health system in the NY Metro, the position requires being onsite with travel amongst all health system sites within NYC and the 5 boroughs happening on a regular basis. Cross functional collaboration, and leading through influence are key to the success of this role. The ideal candidate will have project management experience (six sigma or lean preferred), have knowledge of materials management and experience in lab operations and/or hospital health systems.</p> <ul> <li>Develop inventory management best practices for laboratory setting, in alignment with the overall strategy for the supply chain organization</li> <li>Design and/or improve end-to-end supply chain processes for the replenishment of lab reagents and consumables, including inventory management, warehousing, shipping and receiving processes.</li> <li>Setup data analytics' based processes for defining forecasted demand, order quantity, and usage optimization</li> <li>Establish targeted key performance indicators with stakeholders related to inventory optimization and cost savings</li> <li>Identify improvements for distribution network, location of inventory and storage capacity</li> <li>Lead the strategy and implementation of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all new processes</li> <li>Communicate with Hospital Lab leadership, to define and adjust material forecasting practices, compliance, and effectiveness on an ongoing basis.</li> <li>Lead Inventory continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodology.</li> <li>Regularly review and maintain corporate and local procedures/instructions to assure ongoing compliance as needed.</li> <li>Conform with Labcorp Code of Conduct and all local Compliance Standards</li> <li>Analyze inventory data to identify trends in monthly supply usage, SOP compliance, and efficiency gains. Utilize findings to report and communicate with cross functional executive leadership and design future strategies.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> </div><p><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";"><strong>Requirements:</strong></span></p><div> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required; Masters in Supply Chain or Inventory Management preferred</li> <li>Continuing education/certificates (CPIM, Demand Driven certification, etc.) are a plus</li> <li>Minimum 5 years' leadership experience with oversight over inventory/supply chain</li> <li>Large health system or laboratory operations experience is highly preferred</li> <li>Proven record in leading and implementing large scale system wide projects</li> <li>Advanced MS Office skills including PowerPoint and Excel</li> <li>Ability to work in complex organizations under ambiguous circumstances</li> <li>Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal</li> <li>Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver to C-Suite leadership</li> <li>Ability to lead through influence and align key stakeholders toward a common goal</li> <li>Highly analytical with strong problem solving skills in order to help drive results and progress</li> <li>Experience with Inventory Management systems and familiarity with lean principles</li> <li>Preference to work in an evolving and fast-paced environment</li> <li>On site presence and some travel will be required</li> </ul> </div>
