In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic Technician to join our Discovery site located in Beerse. The role will be based on the Janssen EMEA site, where you will be expected to interact closely with Charles River colleagues as well as the client team.  The Technician will be supporting diverse discovery projects in the field of Alzheimer´s Disease and Parkinson´s Disease by performing routine intercranial injections of compounds in mice using automated systems. Other tasks may be included in a later stage once new vivo methods will be introduced.

 

The following are minimum requirements related to the Technician Neuroscience position:

•    Professional B. Sc. or M.Sc. in Life Sciences (molecular/cellular biology, biochemistry, pharmacology) with minimum 1 year of relevant pharmaceutical or biotech industry/ lab/ academic experience.

•    Accreditation or Certification of Regularization by Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations (FELASA B), or similar foreign certification is essential. 

•    Hands on experience with handling and clinical assessment of small laboratory animals (rodents) and surgical procedures is required. 

•    Flexible mindset and ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities.

•    Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain communication across functional groups.

•    Meticulous attention to detail and strong record-keeping skills.

•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
