In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. Job Summary We are seeking an Accountant II to join our Corporate Accounting team, located in Wilmington, MA. This role will primarily focus on Lease Accounting, working closely with our Corporate General ledger and Fixed Assets teams. This is a unique opportunity to be mentored by our lease accounting expert in all aspects of interpreting technical lease accounting guidance as it applies to complex contracts. Applicants with a high aptitude and eagerness for learning will particularly excel in this role

The following are responsibilities of the Accountant II position: Participate in the monthly general ledger close process, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and other accounting and reporting schedules in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy Demonstrate an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, with a primary focus on the effective application of ASC842 Obtain, review and organize global lease contracts consistently to ensure up-to-date and accurate lease accounting and reporting records Identify key lease terms and enter into lease accounting and reporting system Assist with the monitoring of key dates and triggering events resulting in changes to lease payments, impairments, terminations or purchase of leased asset Communicate effectively with subsidiaries and other departments to help facilitate accurate vendor payments, monthly forecasting and internal and external financial reporting Support sites globally with accounting guidance, training and various reporting needs Assist with creation, documentation and monitoring of standardized system controls, procedures and forms Work across the enterprise to gather information to support proper accounting and reporting of leases and other assigned areas Review general ledger detail and expense run-rates to identify and record required adjustments and reclassifications Ensure accounting policies are being followed Provide internal and external auditors with requested documentation Understand and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley controls Assist with ad hoc activities within Lease Accounting, Fixed Assets and General Accounting Assist with identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives Perform all other related duties assigned

The following are minimum requirements related to the Accountant II position: Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) in Accounting (preferred) or related discipline Two or more years related experience and/or training in Accounting Excellent Excel skills required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

The following are preferred qualifications related to the Accountant II position: CPA track a plus CoStar, SAP, Blackline and BPC experience a plus
