The Technology Solutions team provides an enterprise quality management software solution to Life Science clients. 

The Technology Solutions group is part of the Technology & Services team – delivering on the vision of bringing the best of IQVIA assets to tackle the challenges of Life Science organisations.

The Technology Solutions team are expanding to grow pipeline and acquire customers of our SmartSolve enterprise Quality Management software solution, a very comprehensive and worldwide leading software platform.

The fundamental role of the Technology Sales Specialist is to drive new business in their designated product area and to secure ongoing growth by working with GTM teams to enhance offerings.

Overview of the role

We are seeking an individual who has several years of experience in successfully selling quality management software to the life sciences industry, who understand the specific quality and regulatory requirements of this industry and who is  passionate about healthcare and the value that our solutions bring in this environment and who wants to own the end to end process of developing, selling, delivering and evolving the offering to meet market and client needs.

  • This role requires strong internal leadership to grow a significant pipeline and successfully execute on plans.
  • Sell it - Commercially the role will be required to develop new opportunities, define the forecast and planning by quarter and to engage with existing clients.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Ownership of our quality management software offering from the UKI perspective, providing leadership of both product strategy and business development.
  • Achieve growth and revenue targets through the creation of client opportunities through effective networking and selling processes.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships to create new business opportunities
  • Proactively seek to strengthen added value services and maximise upsell opportunities
  • Seek “starburst” opportunities within existing customers to grow revenue opportunities across the IQVIA suite of regulatory and quality compliance offerings.  
  • As part of the sales process, gathers market and client intelligence and provides strategic feedback to Marketing and Sales to strengthen offerings and capture additional business.
  • Proactively strengthens in depth knowledge of products and their application within a client’s business, sharing best practice internally across Sales teams
  • Contributes to account planning strategy and collaborates with Account Teams to target and validate opportunities for assigned UKI customers
  • Reporting to the Manager for Quality Compliance Software solution in EMEA.

Qualifications skills and experience required

  • Successful and experienced sales expert of quality management software and services within the Lifesciences sector, ideally on vendor side
  • Leading high value and long sales cycle information, technology or service sales
  • Demonstrable success in developing a strong pipeline.
  • Demonstrable success in identifying, developing, closing and delivering solution sales
  • Well-developed knowledge in how to create successful relationships with internal cross-matrix operational, production, delivery and sales functions
  • Rich experience of assessing and understanding market/ competitor situations and applying this intelligence to lead the budget and forecasting process.
