Parexel has an exciting new opportunity for a home-based Senior Patient Recruitment Leader who has extensive experience working in the pre-award space to join our global team. Reposting to the Director, Patient Recruitment Strategy Group, the person selected for this position will act as a key contributor to the proposal team to support Parexel in winning new business. Working independently, the PRL is responsible for delivering, in collaboration with Integrated Solutions Director and Feasibility Strategy Leader (FSL), an optimized patient-focused, data-driven strategic solution that delivers the right patient recruitment, engagement and retention strategies that optimizes our enrollment projections and minimizes risk of study failure due to enrollment barriers.

This subject matter expert role supports all therapy areas, and types and phases of study pursuits, including individual studies, programs, and partnership-level opportunities. The PRL must demonstrate excellent communication ability, strategic thinking, independent decision-making competency and have a track record working in a fast-paced, time-pressured environment.

Strong analytical and persuasive, client-focused writing skills are a pre-requisite to the job to allow the PRL to fully engage in a consultative approach to patient recruitment and retention and deliver clear, concise, selling proposal messages both in text and in client meetings.

Key Accountabilities:

This Senior Patient Recruitment Lead (Strategist) is accountable for the development and compelling communication of evidence-based, value-added recruitment and retention strategies across the portfolio of PAREXEL bids as follows:

• Partner with CSD/CRD, ISS, FSL, Medic, and the Sponsor as required to understand the risks factors negatively impacting enrollment or retention for a specific RFP and develop a detailed, data-driven patient recruitment or retention strategy designed to mitigate such risks or to optimize PAREXEL’s ability to deliver the study.

• Develop strong selling, customer-focused, well presented proposal content that clearly differentiates PAREXEL from its competitors, supports active enrollment strategy, and helps meet Parexel’s optimum delivery plan considering Sponsor specific requirements.

• Build accurate, competitive patient recruitment and retention services budgets based on proposed strategy using the various PAREXEL budget tools and processes. Proficient on all aspects of budget development and has the ability to mentor junior colleagues in this capacity.

• Participate in and contribute to client presentations and bid defenses. Support the team of experts for bid defense meetings, as needed. Attend and be a valued part of the bid defense team for these bids as required.

• Consult with therapy aligned ISS/FSL teams on bids as a subject matter expert

• Be the strategic lead for standalone patient recruitment and retention RFPs, including RFI/General capability meetings, bid strategy, costing, and bid defense meetings, as required.

• Ensure effective handover and understanding of newly awarded patient recruitment and retention services to the assigned post award patient recruitment strategy team. Develop a hand-over strategic brief. Schedule hand over meetings. Attend KOM where applicable.

Knowledge and Experience:

• 5-10 years Patient Recruitment and Retention Experience in international clinical trials

• Experience in or associated with CRO or Patient Recruitment Organization (PRO) proposal management/bid defence preferred

• Previous experience in proposal writing, budget creation, and sales experience preferred

• Sound experience in excel

• Experience in digital and social media advertising and direct-to-patient outreach preferred

• Competent in written and verbal English

Education:

• Degree in a life science, marketing, advertising, business, or equivalent relevant experience required
