The Sr. Director of Program Management facilitates complicated programs with time sensitive projects drawing from prior experience to help deliver successful programs across the CRL Global Technology organization.

Job Description

•    Hands on leader to manage the portfolio, as well as actively manage some of the more complex programs

•    Leads a highly matrixed, cross organizational team that are directly tied to the development, implementation or upgrade of technology or products for external customers.

•    One or more cross functional, matrixed team members composed of managers and technical leads and guides performance of functional teams.

•    Manages Projects or programs where consistent decisions are made regarding the overall goals and objectives of significant programs or segments of the organization through all phases of the lifecycle.

•    Manages interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders.

•    Has decision making authority at the program level.

•    Sets direction for programs by determining and balancing the technical need vs business impact of project/program decisions and operates within the guardrails.

•    Is the key interface with stakeholders and leadership internally.

•    Exercises judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches.

•    Oversees identification of tasks and research, dependencies, costs; communicates expectations to core team members.

•    Creates/tracks/adjusts the program schedule.

•    Assesses risks and identifies solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals.

•    Ensures that quality standards and budget constraints are met.

•    Ensures appropriate progress against schedule and takes remedial action as appropriate.

•    Prioritizes utilization of resources with other functions.

•    Influences business unit or cross organizational strategies relevant to program goals.

•    Has an understanding of the technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined program.

•    Responsible for personnel management activities such as: scheduling, personnel actions (hiring, promotions, transfers, etc.), training and development, providing regular direction and feedback on performance, disciplinary actions and preparing and delivering annual performance and salary reviews.

•    Integrate activities with those of other major organizational units (e.g., segments, departments, functions).

•    Recommend departmental budget and authorize expenditures.

•    Develop and oversee the implementation of departmental training programs, including orientation.

  Job Qualifications  

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

 

Minimum Qualifications

•    10+ years of Project/Program Management experience.

•    10+ years of experience in Technology Program Management

•    Bachelors degree from accredited university

Preferred Qualifications:

•    PMP and/or CSM

•    Leading senior business leaders and technologists

•    Experience with AWS and Azure

CRL's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes Cloud (AWS and Azure), LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.
