The Veterinary Technician of the Laboratory Animal Medicine & Surgery Department has the technical responsibility of the veterinary care program and of the study specific veterinary activities. He(she) is a reference on basic care of the animals covered by the program and on specialized techniques of the department. He(she)works closely with all the members of his(her) department, study directors, research associates, coordinators and technicians. He(she) must:

• Evaluate and follow the health status of animals under veterinary supervision.

• Perform medical treatments/interventions and diagnostic tests under veterinary supervision.

• Perform study specific veterinary activities or of veterinary standard operating procedures.

Requirements: Possess a DEC in the following disciplines: Animal Health Inventory and biological research Animal Production Biotechnology Bioecology Natural environment Or equivalent Is organized, responsible and dynamic Is able to resolve problems
