You'll work on advanced products that support scientific research, from mass spectrometry instruments to laboratory automation systems. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, ensuring our software meets the highest quality standards. This position offers opportunities for growth and development while contributing to our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.REQUIREMENTS:

  • Execute verification and validation testing for software controlling KingFisher and Varioskan instruments.
  • Develop and execute manual test cases based on software requirements and functional specifications.
  • Perform laboratory experiments using KingFisher automated extraction workflows and Varioskan microplate reader applications to validate software functionality.
  • Verify software workflows involving sample preparation, nucleic acid purification, reagent handling, and microplate measurements.
  • Validate data generated from absorbance, fluorescence, luminescence, and other detection modes supported by Varioskan systems.
  • Assist in identifying, documenting, and reproducing software defects using JIRA or similar defect-tracking tools.
  • Record test evidence and maintain traceable validation documentation according to quality procedures.
  • Participate in regression, integration, and system testing activities for new software releases.
  • Collaborate with software developers, product owners, systems engineers, and senior V&V engineers to resolve issues.
  • Follow Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile development practices.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, documentation practices, and data integrity requirements.
  • Support troubleshooting of software, instrument, and workflow-related issues during validation activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test procedures and validation processes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of laboratory or validation experience.
  • Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques such as:
    • DNA/RNA extraction
    • Pipetting
    • Sample preparation
    • Microplate-based assays
  • Basic understanding of laboratory automation systems.
  • Familiarity with multimode plate reader applications including absorbance, fluorescence, or luminescence assays.
  • Basic understanding of software testing concepts including test cases, defect reporting, and regression testing.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools is desirable.
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
