Labcorp is seeking an EHS Manager to join our new CMC facility in Mechelen, Belgium.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Act as the site's Internal Prevention Advisor and trusted EHS subject matter expert.
• Lead and continuously improve EHS management systems, compliance programs and site safety culture.
• Serve as Biological Safety Coordinator, overseeing contained-use activities, biosafety risk assessments, training and regulatory submissions.
• Manage laboratory, production and contractor safety programs including risk assessments, emergency preparedness, chemical safety and incident investigations.
• Ensure compliance with Belgian EHS, environmental and biosafety regulations, permits and corporate standards.
• Partner with leadership teams to drive performance, deliver training and achieve EHS objectives.
• Lead audits, inspections, regulatory visits and corrective action programmes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Prevention Advisor Level 2 certification in Belgium
• 6 or more years experience managing EHS programs within a regulated environment.
• 4 or more years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, lab, chemical or life science environments
• Strong knowledge of Belgian health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Experience performing risk assessments and implementing preventive measures.
• The ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Bachelor\u2019s degree in science or technical field

Preferred Qualifications

• Prevention Advisor level 1 qualification
• 6 years or more experience professional EHS work experience.
• 3 or more years experience of leading EHS processes and systems

• Professional memberships/certifications e.g., EBSA
• 1 or more year experience in biological safety for labs and/or bioproduction (risk assessment, containment CL2/CL3, GMO dossiers, training, incident management), with working knowledge of the Belgian contained-use requirements

Additional Job Standards

• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.

• General knowledge of regional EHS laws and regulations.
• Strong command of Belgian Well\u2011being at Work Code (Codex) requirements and internal service (IDPBW/ISPPW) practices.
• Strong knowledge of regulations involving one or more laboratory EHS fields such as chemical, biological, radiation or equivalent.
• Strong document management skills and attention to details.

• Strong influencing and training skills.

• Proficiency in computer programs/software such as Microsoft Office.
• Must have ability to plan, prioritize, and complete multiple projects in a deadline driven environment.
• Ability to self-lead tasks to completion.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment or independently.
• Comfortable with public speaking opportunities to varying audiences.
