Job Summary Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials; prepares records of materials shipped and bills of lading; routes materials to destinations. May lay out, fabricate, and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and boxes, and prepare parts and tooling for special shipment.

We are seeking a Shipping Coordinatorfor ourTechnical Servicesdepartment site located inLaval (Greater Montreal area) in Canada.

The following are responsibilities related to theShipping Coordinator: Coordinate shipment schedule and workload; Deal with study directors to resolve more challenging shipment issues; Verify and organize test/control item, biological samples and equipment for expedition; Organize shipment through Champlain border via Company courrier; Fill appropriate documents for the sponsor or sub-contractor; Track the shipments until delivery and notify appropriate persons.

The following are minimum qualifications related to theShipping Coordiatorposition: High school diploma or equivalent; 3 to 5 years of experience in a GLP laboratory environment; Reading of English is required. Bilingualism is preferable; Good interpersonal and communication skills; Good problem solving and analytical skills.
