Memory Training Program for Older Adults with Memory Concerns
This clinical trial investigates a computer-based memory training program called E-MinD Life (Semantic) designed to help older adults with memory challenges. The study will test whether this program can improve daily functioning for three groups: healthy seniors (65+), those with memory complaints, and individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or mild dementia.
The program focuses on teaching practical memory strategies through a structured 9-week course. Participants will attend professional-led sessions and complete home exercises with family support. Activities target essential daily tasks like meal preparation and laundry. The research team will compare this approach against traditional cognitive stimulation activities to see which works better.
For caregivers, this study offers valuable insights into supporting loved ones with memory concerns. The involvement of family members in therapy sessions and home practice makes this particularly relevant for those assisting aging relatives.
