Correlation of the Mesio-Distal Widths of the Mandibular to the Maxillary Anterior Teeth
July 28, 2026 updated by: Fatima Saleh Jabra Alghabban, Cairo University
Correlation of the Mesio-Distal Widths of the Mandibular to the Maxillary Anterior Teeth in Egyptian Individuals With Normal Tooth Size Using Digital Models: A Pilot Study
Calculation of Mesiodistal width of maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth :
- Scan the patient's maxillary and mandibular arches to obtain digital casts using an intraoral scanner.
- Upload the digital casts and occlusal record scans into the CAD-CAM software (Dental System; 3Shape).
- Measurement of mesiodistal width for maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth.

Correlation between the mesiodistal widths of the mandibular and maxillary anterior teeth
Time Frame: Baseline
|
The mesiodistal widths of the maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth will be measured on digital dental model using 3Shape CAD/CAM software after uploading the digital model and occlusal record scans.
The correlation between the mandibular and maxillary anterior tooth widths will then be analyzed.
