A Clinical Study Evaluating the Safety and Efficacy of Ivonescimab as Second-line Treatment in Patients With Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma (ANTHELA)

October 30, 2026 updated by: MedSIR

A Proof-of-concept, Phase II Study Evaluating the Safety and Efficacy of Ivonescimab as Second-line Treatment in Patients With Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma.

This trial will study the most common type of advanced liver cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Participants will be treated with ivonescimab, a drug targeting immune cells and blood vessels in tumors, which has proven efficacy in treating lung cancer. The main purpose of the Study is to analyze the efficacy of ivonescimab in participants who have advanced HCC. Ivonescimab efficacy will be determined by assessing the period from ivonescimab treatment initiation to the first occurrence of disease progression or death from any cause, whichever occurs first (PFS). The anticipated favorable clinical benefits of ivonescimab therapy are projected to outweigh the risks of this treatment.
