In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. Job Summary We are seeking a Supervisor for our Genetic Testing Services department located in our Wilmington, MA site.

The Supervisor will plan, direct, coordinate, and schedule the activities of the department through hands-on technical support, delegation of responsibility and/or authority to departmental subordinates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist management in evaluating employee performance during scheduled reviews/merit increases. Serve as a model to employees as it relates to effective time management and utilization of resources. Provide leadership and motivation to all departmental personnel. Provide results and/or technical assistance to external customers via verbal and/or written communications. Review departmental function during internal and external customer/visitor tours. Review current and new departmental procedures. Responsible for ensuring department is maintained in a clean and orderly condition and that the department adheres to established safety procedures. Ensure that departmental equipment is maintained in good working condition. Review reports, raw data or any other data produced by the group and ensure all data packages are complete and compliant inclusive of report approval. Communicate results and clearly describe processes to internal and external clients. Trouble shoot laboratory problems as tasked by management or scientific staff. Work in a structured and regulated environment. Work productively in group situations as well as independently.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in a technically related field (e.g.Biology) or related discipline. 2-7 yearsrelated technical and administrative experience. 1-2 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Experience working in a regulated environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Computers (MS Office Suite).
