Description détaillée

In Egypt, cervical cancer is the 13th most prevalent cancer among women and the 9th most common cancer among women aged 15 to 44 years . In 2020, an estimated 1,320 new cases and 744 deaths due to cervical cancer were reported. A national screening program conducted in 2002 assessed the prevalence and risk factors of pre-invasive and invasive cervical cancer among 5,453 women aged 35 to 60 years, revealing prevalence rates of 0.5% for pre-invasive high-grade lesions and 0.04% for invasive cervical cancer . Currently, Egypt does not have a structured nationwide cervical cancer screening program; screening largely depends on women's perceptions and their healthcare providers' recommendations. Evidence indicates that healthcare provider recommendations are a critical factor in promoting screening adherence. Recently, Egypt has launched initiatives in selected governorates to raise awareness about early detection and HPV vaccination. However, the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of Egyptian women regarding cervical cancer screening at the national level remain largely unknown .

Improving information, motivation, and behavioral skills related to HPV vaccination among university students addresses this critical public health gap. By targeting future nurses, this study aims to enhance preventive health practices and contribute to reducing HPV-related infections and cervical cancer incidence. Nursing students play a pivotal role in health promotion and disease prevention. Strengthening their information, motivation, and behavioral skills equips them to educate peers, patients, and the broader community about HPV infection and vaccination. By empowering nurses with evidence-based knowledge and practical skills, this study supports the development of a workforce capable of positively influencing vaccination behaviors and public health outcomes.

The use of web-based education, guided by the Information-Motivation-Behavioral Skills (IMB) model, offers a flexible, cost-effective, and accessible approach to learning. Web-based interventions can reach large groups efficiently, provide tailored content, and facilitate skill-building in diverse populations. The findings from this study can guide health policy, and shape future educational strategies to improve HPV vaccine coverage and preventive health behaviors among young adults.

Tool II: information, motivation, and behavioral skills regarding HPV vaccination adopted from (wang et al.,2023) to assess information, motivation, and behavioral skills of students regarding HPV vaccination includes three parts. Part one: female university students' information concerning human papillomavirus consist of 11 item such as: HPV is related to the development of cervical cancer, HPV is almost asymptomatic HPV is very common , etc Scoring system: the answers were "Agree," "Disagree," or "I do not know. Each correct answer scored 1 point, while incorrect or unknown answers scored 0 points. The total score of the information questions was derived by adding the number of correct responses. The higher score indicate better information.
