As a Biotech Portfolio Lead, you will provide strategic direction across all therapeutic areas and other divisions across PPD to ensure a customized biotech delivery model that is most effective for portfolio clients. This position provides consultation, direction, and leadership to functional leads and employees to ensure operational excellence.

Responsibilities: Partners globally with other group to develop new business and to deliver existing businessPartners with cross functional leadership on the continuous development and improvement of business processes to support teams and to ensure that work is uniform, complete, and managed appropriatelyCollaborates with the Biotech leadership team and other senior, therapeutic area, geography and functional lead colleagues to enable oversight of operational performance, resourcing, financial health/strategy, and business planning and executionAssists in business development activities, representing PPD biotech at bid defenses, ensuring realization of the PPD biotech visionAt PPD we hire the best, develop ourselves and each other, and recognize the power of being one team. Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/ vocational qualificationPrevious experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 15 years)Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Expert financial acumenExcellent judgement and decision making capability with ability to apply critical and analytical thinking skills and manage complex/ambiguous situationsExceptional interpersonal skills and influencing at all levels, including the capability to build strong relationships in a matrix organizationCapable of building a strong network of influential peopleExpert knowledge of project management principles and applicationExpert knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and resource managementStrong understanding of regulatory guidelines and directivesMastery of process improvement techniquesEffective in working across geographies and culturesCapable of developing and executing strategic plans through leveraging relationships and influencing other through strategic thinking
