직장 경험(PCW)에 대한 전립선암 1차 치료의 영향
본 연구의 목적은 전립선 치료의 선암이 아프리카계 미국인 남성의 작업 능력에 어떻게 차등적으로 영향을 미치는지 알아보고, 아프리카계 미국인과 백인 선암에 의해 보고된 작업 능력의 변화(자가 보고 글로벌 작업 능력 항목을 통해 측정됨)를 기술하고 비교하는 것입니다. 전립선 생존자의 치료 전과 치료 완료 후 6개월.
연구 개요
상세 설명
이 관찰적이고 종단적인 연구는 웨이크 포레스트 국립 암 연구소 커뮤니티 종양학 연구 프로그램(NCORP) 연구 기반(WF NCORP RB)을 통해 약 255명의 환자를 모집할 것입니다.
모집 목표는 세 시점 모두에서 면접관이 관리하는 구조화된 설문지를 완료하는 160명의 참가자를 확보하는 것입니다.
모든 참가자는 전립선 절제술 또는 전립선 선암종 치료를 위한 방사선 요법 시작 전에 첫 번째 구조화된 설문지를 받게 됩니다.
또한 참가자는 전립선 절제술 또는 방사선 요법 완료 후 3개월 및 6개월 후에 구조화된 설문지를 받게 됩니다.
대부분의 환자의 경우 연구 등록과 참여 완료 사이의 시간은 약 6~10개월입니다.
면접관이 관리하는 구조화된 설문지는 작업 능력, 작업 특성, 전립선 치료의 선암과 관련된 증상의 존재 및 일반적인 배경 정보를 다룰 것입니다.

전립선 선암종 1기, 2기 또는 3기 진단을 받고 전립선절제술 또는 방사선 개시가 예정된 자
설명
포함 기준:
- 전립선의 선암종으로 진단된 남성, I, II 또는 III기. 환자는 이미 호르몬 요법을 받았거나 전립선 선암종의 치료로 호르몬 요법을 받을 것으로 예상할 수 있습니다.
- 등록 후 90일 이내에 전립선 선암종의 1차 치료를 위해 전립선절제술을 받거나 방사선을 시작할 예정인 자
- 아프리카계 미국인/흑인, 비 히스패닉 또는 백인, 비 히스패닉으로 스스로 식별합니다. 참가자는 (1) 인종에 대해 단독으로 아프리카계 미국인이라고 밝히거나 (2) 인종에 대해 아프리카계 미국인 및 백인이라고 밝히지만 다른 인종으로도 밝히지 않는 경우 모집 목적상 아프리카계 미국인으로 간주됩니다. 참가자가 백인을 선택하고 다른 인종을 선택하지 않는 경우 모집 목적상 백인으로 간주됩니다. (이러한 신원은 심사 과정에서 참가자가 직접 보고한 내용을 기반으로 합니다.)
