NEUROMUSCULAR PREDICTORS OF VERTICAL JUMP PERFORMANCE IN NATIONAL-TEAM WRESTLERS: A CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDY
August 3, 2026 updated by: Esra BAYRAMOĞLU DEMİRDÖĞEN, Ahi Evran University Education and Research Hospital
The study will include national wrestlers studying at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University School of Physical Education and Sports who meet the inclusion criteria and agree to participate.
Individuals who agree to participate will be evaluated on their grip strength, hand reaction times, balance, core muscle endurance, vertical jumps, dynamic (Y-balance test), and static balance.

Intervention / Treatment |
|---|---|

male national-team wrestlers

Participants underwent a standardized, one-time neuromuscular performance assessment including handgrip strength, upper-extremity reaction time, vertical jump height, core muscle endurance, single-leg static balance, and Y-Balance Test performance.
No therapeutic, exercise-training, or other researcher-assigned intervention was administered.

What is the study measuring?
Primary Outcome Measures

Measure Description |
Time Frame |
|---|---|---|
|
Mean vertical jump height
Time Frame: During the single assessment session
|
Vertical jump performance will be assessed under standardized testing conditions.
Each participant will perform three maximal vertical jump trials.
Jump height will be recorded in centimeters, and the mean of the three trials will be used as the primary outcome measure.
Higher values indicate better vertical jump performance.
