Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Winston Salem, NC

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:30 pm- 2:00 am, with OT as needed

\u00A0Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens\u00A0
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities\u00A0
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples\u00A0
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner\u00A0
• Resolve and document any problem specimens\u00A0

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more experience (lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment)
• 1 year of medical or production experience

Additional Job Standards:

• Comfortable handling biological specimens\u00A0
• Ability to accurately identify specimens\u00A0
• Experience working in a team environment\u00A0
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office\u00A0
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

The Specimen Processor will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.
