HDSC utilizes IQVIA’s High-Performance Platform Infrastructure comprised of many big data technologies including Hadoop, Data Science Tools, containerization/orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, Mesophere/DCOS, Triton, as well as many other cutting-edge technologies. HDSC operates in one of the world’s largest on-premise, private cloud infrastructures, as well as public clouds and we are expanding this global resource aggressively.

To be successful as a Technical Sales Engineer for the IQVIA API Marketplace, you should demonstrate great active listening skills, patience, and confidence. Outstanding candidates are self-starters with superb networking abilities, research skills, and a good eye for opportunities.

Technical Sales Engineer Responsibilities:

· Primary focus is on both API Marketplace and APIs offered through marketplace, focusing exclusively on upsell/cross sell to existing business and new business/new account acquisition; lead the acquisition of new, high profile clients and focus on winning large deals for meeting revenue and profit objectives.

· Direct pre-sales technical activities for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions

· Publish technical articles regarding specific applications.

· Work with marketing and product managers to define new products

· Serve as company liaison on specific technical projects like development of API endpoints with customers.

· Provide consultation to perspective users and/or product capability assessment and validation

· Follow consistent processes

· Share and own best practices

· Write reports and liaison with the production team regarding issues, foreseeable problems, and effective solutions

· Simplify technical terms during product demonstrations and post-sales customer support

Technical Sales Engineer Requirements:

· Experience with API lifecycle management

· Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Containerization

· Experience with leading API hosting platforms like AWS Marketplace or Rapid API a plus

· Familiarity of public IaaS in support of MLOPs and API management (I.e. SageMaker, AWS API Gateway, EKS on AWS for example)

· Experience with API first development principles

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or similar

· 7-10 + years’ experience in sales engineering

· Strong customer service, analytical and interpersonal skills

· Excellent organizational, research and multitasking abilities

· Strong negotiating and problem-solving skills
