Job Description

Position Summary:

The Associate Project Manager (APM)assiststhe Project Manager in study management across the organization and various departments, proactively working with all the parties involved in the study and in timeline management, milestonetrackingand updates to the customer. 

The Associate Project Manager takes on full study management of own projects coordinating across all technical and service aspects of a project and all project related activitiesthrough tostudy completion.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for ensuring that all business activities come togetherin a timely mannerto meet the customer,businessand study requirements.

  • Coordination and communication of all relevant activities, both internal andexternalto ensure that all services and products are ready for the start of the study or as required by the customer.

  • Evaluates anddeterminesthe preliminary design of the study and collates all the required informationin order toenablean effectivedelivery of the study.

  • Use ofappropriate projectplanning tools,formsand processes to communicate milestones and critical path activities and responsibilities.

  • Works with the Master Production Scheduler tooptimizeproduction of clinicalsuppliesbalancing the customer requirements with best use of available capacity.

  • Creates and/ orsupports creation of batch documentation / distribution set up documentation, operational documents using internal systems.

  • Monitors project activities andday to daybusiness.

  • Providesaccurateandtimelyfinancial forecasting/reporting andis responsible forrevenue recognition for projects.

  • Timely provision of reports and other information to customers if applicable.

  • Ensures compliancetodata maintenance/study filing systems andmaintainsaccuraterecords for all work undertaken.

  • Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.

  • Demonstrates and promotes thecompanyvision.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Requires understanding and competent use of SOPs required by company Quality standards.

  • Requires excellent organizational, planning, verbal,writtenand numerical skills with the ability to analyze and define solutions and manage multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines.

  • Requires strong and effectivecommunicatorwith the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients.

  • Requires ability to develop strong customer management skills; proactivelyanticipates, understands, and responds to the needs of clients to meet or exceed their expectations.

  • Requires ability to learn and master all internal systems associated with projects (i.e.Salesforce, GPMS,Trackwise).

Experience required of/in:

  • Requiresaccreditedcollege, university or recognized professional degree, preferably in ahealth relatedfield.

  • Ideally requires 1-2 years of successful experience in project management as a Project Support Associate.

  • Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to include excellent relationship building.

  • Requiresproficiencyin personal computer applications (e.g.Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).

  • Requires proven experience with customers in a dynamic environment.

  • Requires excellent communication, organizationalskillsand project co-ordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferproficiencyinappropriate projectplanningtoolse.g.MicrosoftProjectto communicate milestones and critical path activities and responsibilities.

  • Prefer in depth understanding of clinical trials.

  • Prefer basic understanding of Project Management concepts.

  • Prefer Certification in Project Management by a recognized institution in project management.

Work Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Mustbe able to use acomputerup to 8 hours per day.

  • 10 - 25% Travel as needed.
