Tässä vaiheen III tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan tietokoneistetun kognitiivisen harjoittelun (Brain HQ) tehokkuutta verrattuna huomiokontrolliin havaittuun kognitiiviseen heikentymiseen toimenpiteen jälkeen mitattuna FACT-Cog PCI -asteikolla.

Yksityiskohtainen kuvaus

Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena on määrittää edistyneen kognitiivisen koulutuksen tehokkuus syövästä selviytyneille, jotka kärsivät syöpään ja syövän hoitoon liittyvistä kognitiivisista toimintahäiriöistä. Miljoonille syövästä selviytyneille kognitiivinen toimintahäiriö on yleinen, vakava ja jatkuva ongelma, joka on pitkään liitetty huonoihin työhön ja terveyteen liittyviin tuloksiin. Todisteet viittaavat siihen, että merkittävällä osajoukolla rintasyövästä selviytyneitä (BCS) esiintyy kognitiivisia muutoksia, jotka voivat jatkua vuosia hoidon jälkeen. Valitettavasti tieteellinen perusta näiden kognitiivisten muutosten hallitsemiselle on erittäin rajallinen. Pilottitutkimuksista saatu näyttö, mukaan lukien työmme, viittaa siihen, että edistynyt kognitiivinen koulutus, joka perustuu neuroplastisuuden periaatteisiin (aivojen hermosolujen kyky organisoida uudelleen ja muodostaa uusia hermoverkkoja), voi olla varteenotettava hoitovaihtoehto. Sisällyttämiskriteerit:

  • Osallistujan on annettava tutkimuskohtainen tietoinen suostumus ennen tutkimuskohtaisia ​​menettelyjä ja valtuutus, joka sallii henkilökohtaisten terveystietojen luovuttamisen.
  • Osallistujalla tulee olla ensimmäistä kertaa ei-metastaattinen rintasyöpä, joka on vaihe I-III.
  • Osallistujan pistemäärän on oltava alle 12 PROMIS Adult v2.0 - Kognitiivinen toiminto 4a.
  • Osallistujat, joilla on vähintään 6 kuukautta - 5 vuotta hoidon jälkeen (alkuleikkauksen päättyminen +/- adjuvanttikemoterapia/sädehoito), paitsi että he voivat edelleen saada endokriinistä hoitoa tai HER2-ohjattua adjuvanttihoitoa.
  • Osallistujan tulee ymmärtää, puhua, lukea ja kirjoittaa englanniksi tai espanjaksi.
